South East Concrete -- Storm Shelters

Peace of mind is what you are getting when you purchase a SEC concrete storm shelter. Made to meet or exceed the most current FEMA standards for the safety of you and your loved ones. The two types of storm shelters SEC builds are #1)Engineered precast storm shelters and #2) Custom "built on site" shelters. The Engineered precast shelter is the most cost effective because it is completely built at our warehouse and then delivered to your site. The precast unit is built to strict FEMA guidelines with limitations to the size of the shelter and where it can be placed due to the sheer weight of the unit and the machinery needed to deliver it. The precast unit has a wheelchair accessible door and can hold 7 people. The outside dimensions are 8'4" x 6'4" x 7'2" tall with 6" thick concrete walls. With the amount of concrete & rebar in this shelter the unit weighs 20,000 pounds. The precast unit can be used as a stand alone above ground model or it can be used as a hillside model.

The custom "built on site" shelters are installed using traditional construction methods. Footings are dug & concrete walls are formed to any dimension that the customer desires. Coupled with a concrete top and a FEMA rated steel door this type of structure can be built to hold a family of four or all the way up to a community storm shelter that can hold one hundred.
